Alex (or as she is formally known) Alexandra Heinen was born in Green Bay Wisconsin sometime in the 1980’s. Her first theatrical memory involves seeing a production of The Music Man at the Chanhassen Dinner theater in the early 1990’s with a vague memory of “Rock Island” and a comment from her father that “I couldn’t keep you in your seat, you wanted to get up on stage!”

Still, it wasn’t until the age of 12 when Alex had her first theater role as the “Ticket Taker” in a stage version of the Disney musical Aladdin. You don’t remember that part in the movie? Well then! Alex was very proud of her 2.5 lines.

Alex continued to be actively involved in theater productions throughout middle and high school, as well as spent a couple of summers at Stagedoor Manor theater camp where she had a grand old time.  She continued her dedication to theater in college where she worked on a self-designed musical theater major at Hampshire College in Amherst,  Massachusetts
.

It did take Alex awhile to try to really start putting herself out there, having always been accused of being “too shy." She created a YouTube account under the name of MissBroadwayDork in hopes of singing to the masses and not being stoned to death. Luckily, this succeeded and she was embraced rather than left bruised and bloodied. She is currently thankful and proud to have over 5,000 subscribers.

In 2008, a long time fan of the works of  one Joss Whedon, Alex entered a contest to become a member of the “Evil League of Evil” from “Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog” and somehow managed to be one of the winners despite the fact so many entries rocked the sock. Alex's YouTube video can be seen on the Doctor Horrible DVD.
Alex is currently auditioning for projects in the Hudson Valley and in NYC.
